Founded on September 30, 2019, with 13 founding members and advisor Ricardo Belchior Torres, AIChE FEI grew within the community, winning the Outstanding Student Chapter award twice, in the years 2019-2020 and 2021-2022, in addition to of being three times regional champion in the Chem-E-Car competition, being present at national and international conferences.

Currently in its fourth year of existence, the AIChE FEI chapter has 26 members, including chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering courses.
