With the return to in-person work already completed, the fourth year of the chapter was a period of consolidation. This year, we resumed attending conferences in person and once again stood out in the Chem-E-Car competition, showcasing the strength of the AIChE FEI team.

The 2022 Brazil Student Regional Conference was held in person at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and resulted in 1st and 2nd place in the Chem-E-Car Performance Competition, 3rd place in the Jeopardy Competition, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Undergraduate Student Poster Competition, and 1st and 2nd place in the Student Technical Presentation Competition. In other words, AIChE FEI made its mark on the podium in all the conference competitions.
The top spot in the Chem-E-Car competition qualified our team to participate in person in the global competition! The AIChE 2022 Annual Student Conference took place in Phoenix, AZ, and brought us valuable learning experiences, as well as important networking opportunities with chapters from around the world. This competition showcased how AIChE FEI is a reference in terms of design and safety, winning the Golden Tire Award for the best-designed car in the competition and the SAChE Safety Award for the safest prototype in the competition.
During this period, AIChE FEI also developed many new projects, such as recycling campaigns, donations, as well as visits to daycares and volunteer organizations. We also made efforts on social media to make the chapter more recognized at all levels, with informative post series and increased frequency of publication.
