For the second year of the AIChE FEI, several plans were made for the development of the sector and the members present, even more challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, all activities became virtual, with little work at the university.

The second half of 2020 was marked by the first performance of the AIChE FEI at an international conference, presenting a hydrogen and fuel cell workshop, in addition to participating remotely in the Chem-E-Car competition, ranking 7th in the Chem-E-Car E-Car Performance Competition, 4th place in the Chem-E-Car Poster Competition and the Best Inherent Safety in the Design of a Chem-E-Car award.
Projects felt more challenged by acting virtually but didn't let that become an obstacle. In addition to several awareness posts, lives and webinars developed, the team also developed two far-reaching projects, called Solidary Christmas and Solidary Easter. Using the commemorative dates, the team raised money with raffles and distributed gifts and basic food baskets to needy people. Keep watching our story next year!
