In early 2019 it all started with FEI Professor of Thermodynamics and Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Ricardo Belchior Torres, who spoke with João Vitor Garcia Ferreira about the creation of the AIChE FEI. The rest is history!

That year the team achieved excellent results at the Brazil Student Regional Conference, with 1st place in the Chem-E-Car Performance Competition, 2nd place in the Chem-E-Car Poster Competition, 1st and 3rd place in the Poster Competition and 3 th place in ChemE Jeopardy.
In educational projects work began around the K-12, social projects looking for NGOs and places to work and in environmental projects the beginning of a series of awareness posts in different sectors and brainstorming of ideas for action.
